| Education
Initiative - gives the best start possible for the poorest, handicapped,
and orphaned children of Vietnam through vocational training, school and
university scholarships, bicycle scholarships, rural kindergarten construction,
and after school tutoring for street children and orphans to improve their
chances for continued education. |
Nutrition
Initiative - helps to fulfill the most basic of needs for growth and
development with monthly rice supplements to Vietnamese children and families
in grinding poverty, milk and food allotments to orphans and street children,
and agricultural supports such as cows and bamboo shoots to provide a
sustainable food source. |
| Health
& Well-being Initiative - makes modern medical care a reality for
the children of Vietnam including a parasite remediation program helping
to reduce growth, intellectual, and cognitive retardation; surgeries for
children with orthopedic and heart complications, birth defects, and war-material
injuries; sponsorship of prosthetic devices and wheelchairs giving children
mobility and independence; and facilitation of medical training and provisions
of medications, supplies, equipment, and expertise to hospitals and rural
clinics. |
Housing
Initiative - builds homes for destitute Vietnamese children and their
families often homeless or living in unstable structures with plastic
tarps, bamboo matting, and a damp dirt floor. Each new home is about 300
sq. ft. with two rooms, built with brick and plastered walls, and has
a painted concrete floor, lighting, and sanitation facilities. |
